    Chroma keying is that the method of shooting video on a solid color background then digitally removing this background throughout the editing/post production process. Once the solid color background is removed, you'll be able to ‘swap’ the background of your footage – a method that’s used usually in news and VFX work. So, whereas ‘chroma keying’ is that the post-production work, shooting on a screen on set is that the initial a part of the method.

    When to Use Blue Screen
    Blue screen will require twice as much light as green screen, often a whole f-stop. But because of this difference in luminosity, blue also results in less color spill. Blue screen is also ideal for replicating darker or nighttime conditions.

    Terrible Customer Service

    Ordered a bluescreen for production and had terrible experience with customer service. We were told that it would be no problem for our order to arrive on time (we even gave them a date 3 days before we actually needed it by)… Being that we had over 2 weeks from order placed until the date we provided them we trusted the customer service person’s statements. Ended up that 3 days before our order was promised to be delivered we finally receive a notification that shipping label was generated in China. Being that we are in Europe we knew then that it would not arrive on time. Ended up having to scramble and were able to find an alternate from somewhere else. When the blue screen arrived (after our shoot) we reached out to customer service about a return only to be told that we would have to pay return shipping to the UK ourselves… the website says free returns and that they provide the label which is apparently only true in the UK (not stated on website)… Never buying from here again and will share our terrible experience with anyone looking for recommendations.
